Christie’s mother instilled a deep passion for travel early on when Rick Steves guidebooks and French country road maps would pile up on their kitchen table. She, like her mother, thought the planning process was as much fun as the actual trip, and so she began her career in travel as a luxury travel advisor in Atlanta.

Though the dog-eared guidebooks have given way to faster, more personalized plans through advancements in technology, Christie recognized that the next generation of great travel advisors needed to retain an authentic, intentional relationship with their clients that AI or a multitude of data points could not provide.

She joined CDT as Operations Manager to help the team harness powerful technological advancements while preserving the intentional, personalized touches that define exceptional service. As her passion for crafting meaningful journeys continued to grow, Christie transitioned into a travel planner role, allowing her to return to the heart of what inspired her career in the first place – thoughtful, relationship-driven trip design. In this role, she blends modern tools with an unwavering commitment to human connection, ensuring every itinerary reflects the spirit of what Will Guidara calls “Unreasonable Hospitality.”
